3 P's Nigerians/3 Pines Boer Goats

The wolf will live with the lamb, the leopard will lie down with the goat, the calf and the lion and the yearling together; and a little child will lead them. Isaiah 11:6

In 2003 we decided to give up town living to reside in the Central Minnesota countryside. We found a 1928 built farmsite that had been vacant for 6 years without updates since the 1970's. Our son helped us restore the 2 story brick house and the block dairy barn. That lead to the start of 3 Pines Boer goats. We chose a mixture of fullblood and percentage stock with a quality buck. Our milking stock was two delightful Nubians.

Over the years, we have strived to improve our herd and learned tons along the way by reading, attending workshops at shows and Expos, plus visiting with other "goat people". We continue to learn!

We are glad we added the Nigerian Dwarf goats. We rely on goat milk for fresh drinking, cheese, ice cream and yogurt. These little Nigerian darlings have  stolen our hearts. These tiny little kids are a drastic contrast to our chunky Boer kids. We love having both breeds of kids in the barn each year. It's always hard to part with some to keep our herds small.

Our goal with the small Nigerian herd is to introduce new bloodlines each year that are different from other breeders in our area. This gives you an excellent opportunity to do the same as our herds' milking potential is maximized.
